Production

Each year ECOBA prepares a statistic on production and utilisation of CCPs in the countries of their members. Since 1993 the statistics cover the data of the EU 15 countries. In May 1, 2004 the EU has grown by 10 new members, in January 2007 by another two members.

In the European Union of the EU 15 the production was about 61 million tonnes in 2007 and in the larger EU of 27 member states the total production is estimated to be about 100 million tonnnes. Exact figures from all new members states are not available, yet.
